  • The Current Mission of the Sculpted Ghost

    from Amy, Player of Celestia

Well, first we killed a bunch of Drow
... in defense of a Drow.

Then we killed a bunch of Pirates
... in defense of a Pirate.

Then we blew up an island
... in defense of the island.

So, basically, we caused a lot of mass destruction
... in defense of mass destruction.

While Celeste is speaking in a tounge foriegn to us here on Earth, it is also important to remember she is not that good of a poet in the first place. Her skill lies in the interpretation of others' work, not the invention of her own.

The True Story of the Little Mer

by Celestia of the Shallow Sea, translated by Amy

In a realm of merfolk dream
Deep beneth the sea of green
Lived a young princess who's heart was bare
For she could not find a love to share

    Each and every noon
She would travel up the dune
    And sit and pray
For a prince to come her way.

And then one day as luck would will
A handsome prince came and fit the bill
    Our maidens heart was lost
To a man who cared not the cost.

To love her prince she did dare
A trip to the local evil fair
With the purchase of a candle
And a promise she hoped to handle.

She gave her life to be free
from the confines of the sea
Sold her soul with out a balk
To be able to run and walk.

The spell went off with out a hitch
All she had to do was be a *itch
Kill his bride asleep in bed
Hit her hard upon the head.

Our lady so fair did see them rest
And almost did her moral best
    But thought of life alone
Without the benefits of a throne

She raised the candle above her twin
And thought of what a nice sister she'd been
    Then with out warning
Tossed the body in the mooring

And crawled in beside her love
    Who never was the wiser

AND SHE CRIED FOR ALL SHE HAD LOST

by Celestia of the Shallow Sea, translated by Amy
LATE AT NIGHT WHEN THE FLOWERS LOST THIER BLOOMS
SHE WOULD WANDER HOPELESSLY 'ROUND HER ROOMS
HER HEART WAS GIVEN TO A MAN MUCH TO COLD
WHOSE LIPS WERE THIN AND HANDS TOO BOLD
HE NEVER SAW WHAT SHE GAVE
HIS HEART WAS IN A GRAVE

SHE GAVE HIM HER YOUTH HER BEAUTY AND LIFE
THE DAY HE TOOK HER FOR HIS WIFE
BUT AS THE YEARS WENT ON HE DID TRADE
HER IN FOR THIER DAUGHTER'S YOUNGER MAID
WHO WAS THIN AND SLEEK AND FELINE
WHENEVER HIS HANDS APROACHED HER BEHIND

AND THEN ONE NIGHT AS THE SUN DID SET
SHE HEARD THE COOK AND BUTLER BET
THAT THE BABE IN THE MAID'S WOMB
WAS THE SEED FROM HER OWN GROOM
    HER HEART DID SHATTER
    AND HER TEARS DID SPATTER

TO HER ROOM SHE DID RUN
ONLY TO FIND HER LOVE HAVING FUN
WITH THE MAID OF HER NIGHTMARE
AND WITH A GIGGILE THE MAID DID DARE
TO SHOW THE WORLD HER NEW TUMMY
BY POINTING AND SAYING I'M A MUMMY

THE HUSBAND NEVER MOVED AS SHE FELL
TO THE FLOOR HER BODY BUT A SHELL
WHEN SHE WOKE SHE HEARD THE SIGH
OF A LONG KISS GOOD BYE
    AND STRUGGLED TO HER FEET
    DETERMINED TO LEAVE THE KEEP

    ENRAGED AT HER INTERRUPTION
    NOT CARING FOR HIS CORRUPTION
HE HIT HER HARD UPON THE FACE
    AND BEGAN TO PACE
BACK AND FORTH HE DID WANDER
    LEAVING HER ALONE TO PONDER

THEN THAT NIGHT SHE DID LEAVE
WITH HER JEWELS IN HER SLEEVE
SHE MADE IT TO HER SON'S NEW HOME
AND SET TO WRITING HER LIFE'S TOME
A BOOK OF LOVE'S PRICEY COST
AND SHE CRIED FOR ALL SHE HAD LOST

lie and say you love me

by Celestia of the Shallow Sea, translated by Amy
they're words - that you dont mean
    i know
they're words - that you dont want to say
    i know
they're words - that you will grunt out
as if a wounded by them

but i need to hear them
    let them wash over me
giving me something to grab on to
    as my sanity slips away

    you hate - my need
    i know
    you hate - my weakness
    i know
you hate - my asking for words that
    you see as a trap

but tonight i cry for all i have lost
morning the joy that has left my life
let me hear them this last time
    as everything else is gone

AND WHILE I KNOW ALL THE REASONS I OUGHT NOT TO ASK

i beg of you to please
    lie
    and
    say you love me
